I have no plans to allow doc comments to be parsed as Markdown instead of HTML in vscode-as3mxml. If the Harman's AIR SDK or Apache Royale were to add a command line tool to generate documentation from Markdown comments, only then would I consider adding it to vscode-as3mxml.
