The content of the *Log.final.out file generated by STAR is valuable for QC purposes. Can it be retained as part of the QC output in the RNA-Seq CGL pipeline? If you want to wait until we do a broader QC implementation, that's fine.

@hannes-ucsc hannes-ucsc changed the title for rnaseq-cgl-pipeline, please retain the STAR log Consider retaining the STAR log in rnaseq-cgl-pipeline Aug 22, 2016

I spoke with @hbeale in person about this at the steering committee and the consensus was to wait on this ticket until additional QC tools are ready to be implemented. I'm guessing this will make it into the 2.1.x release.
